How about those Niners??!!

Had a BBQ dinner with Dwight Clark, old number 87 last Saturday night. It was Betsy and I along with about a hundred others in the Old Gym at Novato High School. Great stories from the past along with some observations on the plight of the current Niner squad. If you ever have the chance to go to a similar event, you really should. Had Dwight sign a mini Niner helmet, very cool, and a piece of art from 1982, showing Dwight making The Catch! Bets got to tell Dwight a great story from her days in sports marketing, making Dwight and everyone around us laugh!
As I write this blog, I can hear the concrete being pumped and pored for the new Whole Foods Market, finally being completed across the tracks from us. It's always fun when I run into someone here in town and they ask when is that Whole Foods going to open?! Work continues on the train tracks, freight should be running about March of 2010, the same time as the market is supposed to open.
Hoping all is well out there, we 3 and the 2 cats are doing great...photo of Misty trying to nap, she's very good at it.
Will post again soon, with photos of our Thanksgiving Day, should be big fun.
Please write or call to check in or to talk about the local markets, not just food but Real Estate too, go Novato!!!

What is going on...

Hey there, our BBQ season has wrapped up! I'll try to post a photo or two from the Great American Blues and BBQ event that smoked a few short weeks ago. We had a great hard working crew of family and friends there. The music was really good and everyone had a great time with smoked meat and sauce flying out of the tent.
Have been spending time out at my listing in Bahia...found an awesome trail just a few minutes from 2729 Topaz. Great views and lots of trees, water and birds galore out there. I've uploaded a view shot from one of the decks of this home. The new school year is in full swing, and Caity is currently playing fastpitch softball for the NorCal Smackers out of Terra Linda. Also saw a tough fought soccer match she played in last night night as her Novato Jaguars came from behind to tie the team from Tiburon, final was 1 to 1.
I will most likely be selling rare Fillmore era posters, and postcards at the big Rock Poster Society sale coming October 10th, in Golden Gate Park at the Hall of Flowers. Let me know if you have any old rock and roll records, magazines or posters you are thinking of letting go of. I'd love to check them out.
Please call, write or come see me at an open house soon, would be great to catch up with you.

BBQ Blues...

Hey there, hope you are all having Hot Fun in the Summertime!!
Swami Tommy and I just got back from competing in the West Coast
BBQ Championships, held in Fairfield, CA.
The 1st photo is Swami Tommy tying the apron strings, on his
custom designed and printed Swami Tommy BBQ Experience work wear.

First time we have entered a competition of this size and with such
great teams! We finished Saturday afternoon with 24th place for our
ribs, out of a total of 37 teams.
The 2nd photo is part of the rig that All Hogs Go to Heaven uses.
They where one of the top teams at the BBQ Championships in Fairfield.
Looking forward to the Smoke on the Water Cookoff coming up Labor Day weekend at Clear Lake. We will also be grilling and serving tasty BBQ on Saturday, September 12th in Downtown San Rafael. The event is called The Great American Blues and BBQ Festival. This event is big fun with lots of great Blues Bands playing for free!!

Been great fun grilling and smoking meats for our friends and neighbors, they all seem to enjoy the BBQ!
Otherwise, we all are working hard and enjoying the time we are having
with our friends, neighbors and family.
Hope to see you soon, with a grill by my side, Stevie U!!

Novato...

Happy Summer Days to all!! Am checking in on a very nice afternoon here in the Valley of No Regrets...The local real estate market is moving along. Sixty-four percent of all condos in Novato are in contract and sixty-two percent of all single family homes priced at $750K and below are also in contract. When people are buying and selling, it helps so many other aspects of our local economy!! Please call or write me if you want to chat about our real estate market, and who doesn't like to talk about prices and sales?

These photos where taken on Grant Avenue during our 2009 Fourth of July parade.
Miss Caity with a friendly clown,
and Steve Cleere posing as a 1944 Sherman tank rolls by DeBorbas saloon.

Keep an eye on the upcoming posts. Swami Tommy and I are gearing up for a BBQ cook off mid August in Fairfield. We've been grilling and smoking a bunch of meats lately, and the BBQ keeps getting better all the time.
Hope to see you or chat with you soon, don't forget your sun block!

it has been a long time...

Well, I am back!! Let's see, my Mac G4 has been in a repair shop for 2 months now, it started acting up 4 months ago. Passwords; I had always been told and read not to keep passwords in un-safe places. I thought I had that licked by using the "remember me" button on my computer and for back up, having my password in my Palm, which died, then my cell phone, which died, then...oh well, the customer service group of the company that owns this Blog Site, has very little customer support!

So, I am including a great photo that Caity took just days before July 4th. That's me in front of the South bound freight train!! I believe it's actually considered an East bound train, but, I think South bound sounds cooler.

Just got back from "Fallon, East of Reno", a few days ago. Road trippin with Frankie, Tommy and his boy-dog wonder "Leroy". Mr Mitch is doing good, thanks for asking! Frankie, Mitch and I had fun jamming to some surf influenced songs. We ate a lot of great Swami Tommy BBQ and drank many beers...good to spend time with the Boys...

I will do my best to "Blog" again in the next few days, I always like to upload photos, so I will.
Keep thinking good thoughts and talk to you soon!!

New Year...New Stuff...Catching Up

Happy New Year to all, very glad to have 2008 behind us and here's to hoping everything goes well for you and yours in 2009!!!
Was pleasantly surprised on my birthday last November with a new kitten we've named KiKi. As I write this, KiKi is doing her best to be a lap kitty, unlike her big sister Misty. Kik's must have sensed that it was time to write a new entry as she's been circling me, digging a claw into my leg to help get a boost up, so adorable, so "ouch"...
Raining today, which is very much needed in our area, as we are really behind on the average rainfall this time of year; the last few years have not been much better. Trees are being planted by the developer of the Millworks project across from the homes here on Railroad Ave, they should look great once spring has sprung.
For the dog lovers out there, of which I am one,(we have 2 cats, but everyone else in my family has at least one dog), the other photo is of Caity, Leroy and Betsy, taken Christmas Day, as Pops, Sister JoEllen and Tommy where here for the day. Leroy is a rescue dog from the streets of Oakland, and is Tom's new best bud.

Been playing a lot of music lately, with a few different combos and even had the nice honor of playing last Sunday at The Presbyterian Church of Novato, thank you to Don Forbes!
Speaking of music, have been buying, trading, selling old records and Fillmore posters of late. If you find any old music items collecting dust, buzz me and I can tell you what they may be worth.
Keep me in mind if you have any questions or thoughts about local Real Estate, I am here to help!
Let's keep in touch, I will do my best to keep on Blogging!!
